Product Metallurgist-Sales, sought by Nucor Steel Memphis, Inc., for the Memphis, TN location. Candidate must have BS Deg in Metallurgical Engg, Materials Science or Mechanical Engg & 2 yrs exp in Metallurgist or Tech'l Service role w/in steel industry. Must have exp in: Performing metallographic analysis of defects received from customers using SEM, ED. Conducting root cause & failure analysis of products w/ defects. Conducting tests on raw materials finished products- such as Tensile tests, Charpy tests, mechanical hardness, etc. to ensure their quality. Working w/ Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools deployed by Oracle. Steel production or primary metals mfg exp. Exp in & knowl of ASTM standards related to SBQ products.
