Position Description:
The primary function of this position is to provide basic technical services to the Third Party Liability (TPL) line of business and to carry out operational tasks. This analyst will be primarily responsible for the day to day data mining activities within the TPL area. This involves the execution of business requirements for TPL related SQL queries, creating reports on overall performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise, assistance with the implementation of new clients, and providing feedback to upper management on a weekly basis on the status of all outstanding projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Query Development, testing, and maintenance utilizing Microsoft SQL
- Define and document business processes and projects
- Consult with business departments to identify requirements
- Define project scope and objectives
- Model business processes (current and future)
- Evaluate system changes for downstream system and/or organizational impacts
- Prioritize and track all issues to resolution
- Escalate issues to the Project Manager as appropriate
- Provide agendas and follow up with meeting minutes
- Participate in prototyping solutions to provide the business unit a preliminary evaluation and/or user interface experience
- Develop and maintain working relationships at all levels of the business unit
- Validate that all functions perform according to the relevant specifications
- Acquire and maintain working knowledge of databases, file systems and architecture that support the application
- Facilitate and or assist with group meetings
- Manage small to medium projects from inception through implementation

Skills / Requirements
Requirements:
- 3+ years SQL coding experience
- 2+ years relevant work experience in a professional environment
- 2+ years working with relational databases
- Bachelor's degree required
Assets:
- Business Analyst/ documentation experience
- Experience working with internal/external clients
- Quality Assurance experience
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Healthcare industry experience
