Primary Responsibilities:

• Assists in developing and implementing the annual plan for TennCaresmCHOICES Long Term Care (C-LTC) advocacy program and related activities designed to meet CRA requirements.


• Develops partnership and collaborations with community agencies, organizations, and faith based institutions, etc to address quality of life issues for C-LTC membership


• Facilitates and manages Advisory Council activities for designated grand region and works closely with Care Coordinators, when C-LTC member advocacy needs arise.


• Identifies potential retention risks and escalates and/or resolves as appropriate


• Works to ensure member satisfaction


• Promotes positive public relations in all activities of the organization


• Provides cross coverage of member advocacy issues, when other team members are out, and performs other related functions as assigned.


• Involves substantial time out of the office and travel within the service area

Skills / Requirements

Qualifications:

• 
  
  1+ years of project management experience is required
  


• 
  
  2+ years of long term care experience is required
  


• 
  
  Proficient user skills in Microsoft Office suite (Excel/Word) experience is required
  


• 
  
  BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university or 4+ equivalent work experience is required
  


• 
  
  Public speaking experience is a plus
  


• 
  
  Passion for working with the elderly and disabled adults is preferred
