Job Description Transportation Construction Inspector will be participating in highway and bridge construction inspection operations in the Nashville, TN area.

The candidate will need to effectively communicate (written & oral) and understand plans and contract documents and scope of work requirements. This position will require an individual that is willing to perform a variety of tasks and is a team player. Some travel may be required. Responsibilities include:

Performing inspection duties to ensure conformance to quality, performance, and/or code requirements.

Sample and test materials for acceptance.

May assist supervisor with general guidance to entry-level inspectors.

May provide on-the-job training to new inspectors. Provides QA reports to supervisor for approval. Maintain inspection records.

Candidate must have at least 10 years of experience on highway/bridge construction projects. ITS/Aviation/Rail project experience also a plus. Must also have experience working on federal/state of Tennessee funded projects and be familiar with their testing and reporting requirements. TDOT (or NICET equivalent) certifications including concrete, asphalt, erosion control & traffic control required. SiteManager experience preferred.
