We're looking for an RN with solid clinical experience to join our team in an exciting role that would cover an assigned territory within the Nashville Tennessee area. As an Onsite and Telephonic Inpatient Care Management Nurse, you would concentrate on advocating for enrollees in acute hospital facilities. Key responsibilities of the Onsite Inpatient Management Nurse include:

  • Visiting assigned facilities and reviewing patient charts

  • Perform utilization and concurrent review of inpatient cases using Milliman criteria

  • Evaluating and identifying delays in care

  • Facilitating discharge panning

  • Arranging alternative care services

  • Discussing inpatient cases with physicians and other healthcare professionals

  • Making rounds with the Medical Director

  • Collaborating with physicians, providers and personnel

  • Developing relationships and using negotiation to create positive situations for patients

    Skills / Requirements


    Qualifications:

  • A current, unrestricted RN license for the state of Tennessee

  • 3+ years professional clinical experience

  • Must live within a commutable distance of Nashville TN and have reliable transportation

  • Discharge Planning and/or chart review experience

  • Computer proficiency

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive business relationships





  • Additional Assets Preferred:

  • Pre-authorization experience preferred

  • Managed care or insurance company experience that included utilization review duties preferred

  • Case Management experience preferred

  • Certified Case Manager (CCM)

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
