Farmers Property Claims Team is looking for Interns to work along side our current Property Claims Representatives and learn more about the Farmers family. Our Property Claims Representatives investigate the cause of roof, fire, and water damage to our customer s homes, estimate the cost of repairs or replacement of damaged or stolen property, and help customers understand how their policy coverages apply to the claim.

As an Intern you will participate in field rides, complete customer service survey calls, enter initial coverage reviews and initial contact notes and have extensive customer contact. You will also assist the branch claim supervisor with special projects. Interns work 20 hours per week and are paid $12 an hour. This position is ideal for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in claims.

Our PREFERRED Candidate will possess the following:
o Major or minor in Insurance and affiliation with the Gamma Iota Sigma Insurance fraternity
o Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
o Excellent customer service and communication skills and sound judgment and decision making skills
o Computer proficiency including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Access

Candidates must be graduating at the end of the semester and be willing to relocate anywhere in the county based on available openings.
