Minimum one year related experience required. Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills is required. A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required. Must live in Montgomery Cty, TN or Christian Cty, KY. Job Description: Plan and implement effective strategies to recruit and retain donor groups who will sponsor collection operations, work to achieve established blood collection goals, and ensure sufficient numbers of specialized donors (apheresis, bone marrow, plasma, stem cell) to meet program needs. Develop potential group leads. Educate donor group chairmen in organizational requirements. Provide ongoing support to donor groups and implement appropriate special donor recruitment programs. Provide follow-up record keeping and recognition. Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, Safety Quality Identity Potency Purity (SQUIPP), regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other applicable Federal, state and local regulations. Major Responsibilities: 1. Identify, develop and implement creative strategies to attract potential blood mobile sponsors and feeder groups for existing bloodmobiles or donors for special collection programs. 2. Identify and apply appropriate methods to ensure efficient scheduling of blood mobiles/special donors by assigned groups to meet weekly and monthly collection goals. 3. Provide sufficient organizational and operational support to donor group chair to ensure achievement of annual goals. 4. Schedule and implement education programs for donor group chair, line volunteers and telerecruiters within assigned groups to assist in meeting collection objectives and comply with all ARCBS directives, Code of Federal Regulations, local operating procedures and other related regulatory requirements. 5. Develop a working knowledge for the community, its government, demographics and organizations. Apply that knowledge to all aspects of servicing blood donor groups and the expansion of the program. 6. Coordinate activities with appropriate collections personnel to ensure a positive donor experience and smooth, efficient operations. 7. Maintain accurate records to provide tracking and statistical data on donor/group performance. 8. Perform other related duties as necessary. Scope: Responsible for recruitment of annual allogeneic blood collections and/or one or more specialized donor segments to meet organizational need. Lead and evaluate the work of volunteers within assigned groups/chapters. Requires moderate daily supervision and coordination. Plan own work and set priorities within guidelines. Actions and decisions are based on precedent, organizational need and good judgement. Essential Functions/Physical Requirements: The duties above indicate the essential functions of the position. Operational flexibility is required to meet sudden and unpredictable needs. May be required to travel to sites throughout the region to meet with potential donor groups. Exposure levels are based on the essential functions as stated in this position description; however, in some instances, variances may occur due to the applicable nature of this position within a particular work site. This position is in OSHA 0 in view of the fact that normal work involves no exposure to blood or blood components and/or human body fluids or tissue samples as a result of splashes, spills, and/or needlesticks or performance of or assistance in first aid.
